The window of opportunity is not kind.
It does not care how badly you want a thing or what you believe you deserve.
It has little respect for pretense and even less for laziness; disrespect it abhors and is not impressed by arrogance.
It will deny aggressiveness and anger; to try to force it open is futile, an exhaustive exercise with few results.
Be warned; if it does open, it will slam shut at a hint of ungratefulness and the delusion of doing it alone.
If you nurture it and speak to it in the only language it understands, it may stay open for long periods.
A definiteness of purpose is music to its ears. Forging on despite loss will grab its attention.
To sacrifice for a cause, it will embrace, and to selfless behavior—it bows its head.
The door of opportunity will gladly open, knowing you are ready for the inevitable moment when timing and opportunity meet.
