The most valuable thing we own is time, but then ownership implies control, and the only control we have is how we use or squander it.

Time cannot be coaxed or bargained with, but others will try to steal our time, indulging their perceptions of necessity, believing their time is more important; their time is all that matters.

Wisely savoring or favoring time given to a worthy pursuit is not selfish, foolish, nor a waste of time.

We claim time as a personal possession to pour into those passions for humankind or, like a miser, selfishly hoarding pennies.

Most people live like time is unlimited, and tomorrow will always be there, but time does not care.

Time is unforgiving, unyielding, looming over us when taken for granted, pulling and tearing at our frail forms, depleting coffers of youthfulness that will eventually run dry.

The only view of time that makes sense, the gift that it is, is humble respect and the best we can do is choose the quality of our relationship to it so that nothing is left undone.

Then, when we go to the place we deserve, it is with a sigh in a soft exhale that says, thanks for the time.
